Fun in the Snow!

Snow day! Sherilan and Jason are outside as I write this, enjoying our first real snow of the season! We've really enjoyed being home today - we had a leisurely breakfast with our next door neighbors, and now are just playing! The snow continues to fall, so it looks like this is just the beginning!

For some of you, this may seem like a light snow, but to us in SE Virginia, this is a big deal!

Sisters

I went to a massage tonight (yeah!!) and while I was gone, Jason shot this cute video of the girls playing on the living room floor...so cute to see Sherilan interact with her baby sister...(next time I'll leave the flip camera at home so Jason can get a high quality video- this one is from his phone...)

Makenna's Dedication

Makenna's dedication ceremony at church was this morning. What a special milestone, to commit our sweet baby girl to Jesus, to commit to raise her for God's purposes! Over the last few days, I've been contemplating how to "prepare" for this day, and have been reminded that this "act" of dedication is simply a way to share publicly that we are committed to provide the best foundation for her life and to model for her how to walk in love relationship with Jesus. This will be something we need to live out, but it starts now.

Sherilan's First Day of Preschool

Sherilan had her first day of preschool today - she was such a big girl and so excited to go. We've enrolled her in this two morning/week program and it's perfect for her. This morning, it was pouring down (torrential!) rain when we arrived, so I got soaked getting her to class. Once we got there, she walked right in and started playing, forgetting even to tell me goodbye! :) (I remember my mom telling me the story of my first day of school, and it went pretty much the same way!). Trip to AR/Sally and Andreas' Wedding

In August, we traveled to AR to visit family for my sister Sally's wedding. We had such a wonderful time being with our AR family and also celebrating Sally and Andreas. Enjoy the pics!!!
